Can I Combine Veneers and Implants for a Complete Smile Makeover?

James W.Sep 18, 2026

I have some missing teeth but would also like to improve the appearance of my natural teeth with a more aesthetic and balanced smile.

Can laminate veneers and dental implants be combined in the same treatment plan?

ANSWER

Yes. Based on the initial assessment, a combined treatment using laminate veneers, dental implants, and zirconia restorations may be considered.

For the visible natural teeth, 16 laminate veneers may be planned to improve the shape, symmetry, and overall appearance of your smile.

The laminate veneers may be placed on teeth:

15, 13, 12, 11, 21, 22, 23, 25, 31, 32, 33, 35, 41, 42, 43, and 45

For the missing posterior teeth, implant treatment may be planned.

The proposed treatment plan includes:

  • 16 laminate veneers

  • 2 dental implants in the regions of teeth 17 and 37

  • 2 zirconia restorations on the implant-supported teeth

This combination allows the front and visible teeth to be treated conservatively with laminate veneers while the missing back teeth are replaced with implants to help restore chewing function.

The condition of the missing tooth 14 region, as well as the available bone in the implant areas, should also be assessed during the clinical examination.

The final treatment plan will be confirmed after evaluating your bite, enamel condition, gum health, and three-dimensional CBCT imaging.
