Because your diabetes and blood pressure are currently controlled, implant treatment may be considered. However, since surgical procedures are planned, we would still require a medical consultation or written clearance from your physician before treatment.
For the upper jaw, the proposed treatment plan may include:
Extraction of teeth 12, 21, 23, and 25
3 dental implants in the regions of teeth 11, 22, and 25
A fixed hybrid prosthesis for the upper jaw
The sinus anatomy appears significantly lowered in the upper jaw. For this reason, angled implants may be considered to avoid or reduce the need for more extensive sinus-related procedures, depending on the final CBCT evaluation.
For the lower jaw, the current teeth may potentially be preserved and restored with approximately:
12 zirconia restorations
Depending on the condition of the lower teeth, additional treatments such as root canal treatment or fillings may also need to be added to the final plan.
Additional supportive treatment may include:
Professional dental cleaning
A custom night guard to help protect the final restorations
Because you take low-dose aspirin, this medication should not be stopped or changed without instructions from your prescribing physician. Your blood pressure, blood glucose control, current medications, and general medical condition should all be reviewed before surgery.
