ANSWER

Is there any pain that wakes you up at night? Is it felt in a specific area, or is there sensitivity in all teeth? Is there a possibility for our patient to send us an updated X-ray?

I examined our patient's X-ray. There were extensive fillings in almost all of her teeth. Since there was no finding in the teeth that would require root canal treatment, root canal treatment was not applied.

The cause of the current complaint may be a decay that developed later under the crown or filling.

If the pain is felt in the lower left region, teeth numbers 35 and 36 had root canal treatments performed before the treatment at our clinic. It was determined that there was infection in the roots of these teeth, and our patient was informed that the teeth could be used as long as there was no pain; however, in the future, the teeth might need to be extracted and implant treatment might be required.

Our patient stated at that time that she wanted to protect her teeth and did not want to have implant treatment.

If the current pain originates from these teeth located in the left back region, depending on the condition of the infection, the teeth may need to be extracted and rehabilitated with implant treatment.
