While our patient was here, we had informed him that the laminates are very thin and that he needed to be careful when eating hard foods. He should avoid biting or tearing motions. The treatment carries a two-year warranty; even if the damage is patient-related, if our patient comes to the clinic, we can replace the broken teeth free of charge.
Things to Pay Attention to After Porcelain Laminate Treatment:
Do not tear hard foods with your front teeth. Porcelain laminates are materials worked to a thickness of 0.3mm–0.5mm. Foods such as apples, sandwiches, and dried meat should not be bitten directly with the front teeth; instead, they should be cut into small pieces before eating.
Use your night guard regularly every night. Since teeth grinding or clenching carries a risk of breaking or cracking the laminates, the night guard specially prepared for you by the clinic should be worn consistently.
Avoid hard impacts. Habits such as biting pencils or nail biting should be avoided.
